Is it possible to straighten arms with developed muscles?
2024-07-25
Today we introduce a patient who underwent liposuction on her arms.
Let's examine what changes arm liposuction brought about, especially considering how it compensated for the prominent deltoid muscles.
[Patient Information]
Age: Late 20s
Occupation: Office worker
Height: 155cm
Weight: 56kg
BMI: 23
*Results of liposuction may vary for individuals with similar specifications.
The patient's weight had been increasing over the past 4 years, and she had been dieting through exercise.
However, the fat on her arms did not improve, so she decided to undergo liposuction.
The conslutation indicated that:
1. The skin has good elasticity with a lot of fat. A significant post-surgery effect is expected.
2. However, the deltoid muscles are developed, and muscle lines may become prominent after surgery.
So we suggested:
1. Perform liposuction on the arms + axilla + axillary breast + scapula area to slim the entire upper body.
2. Considering the developed deltoid muscles, perform aspiration while leaving some fat to create a naturally straight line.
3. Due to the patient's low blood pressure, advised careful health management until the day of surgery.
These photos were taken 1 month after the surgery.
[Before and 1 month after surgery]
Surgery areas: Arms, axilla, scapula area
Liposuction volume: 1,500cc
The patient underwent surgery on all recommended areas except for the axillary breast.
By also performing liposuction on accessory areas, it's possible to create a slimmer shoulder area.
Looking at the photos, we can confirm that the protruding fat on the outside has been smoothed out.
Also, the side view shows reduced thickness in the arms, changing to a straight line.
If we focus too much on size reduction and ignore muscle shape, excessive aspiration might not result in a straight line.
To achieve the ideal line, detailed pre-surgery counseling with the director is essential.
