Revision Surgery for Full-Body Liposuction Based on Professional Consultation

2024-06-27

Many patients visiting our clinic for liposuction aim to target multiple areas simultaneously and remove as much fat as possible. However, liposuction requires careful consideration due to the potential stress it can place on the body.

During liposuction surgery, it's crucial to assess factors such as the volume of fat to be removed, bleeding tendencies, anesthesia duration, and other factors that could affect the patient's condition. This ensures safe and effective liposuction.

Today, let's look at the case of a patient who underwent a full-body liposuction revision surgery. The remaining fat from the initial surgery was addressed, resulting in a smoother body contour.

[Patient Information]

- Age: Late 30s

- Occupation: Office worker

- Height: 160cm

- Weight: 52kg

- BMI: 21

*Results of liposuction may vary for individuals with similar specifications.

The patient had previously undergone liposuction on the arms, abdomen, and thighs at another clinic a year ago but was dissatisfied with the results and experienced stress due to the lack of effective body contouring.

The consultation indicated:

1. The patient has a body type with overall low muscle mass and high fat volume.

2. The previous surgery left residual fat in the arms, lower abdomen, and inner thighs.

3. The patient desires slim arms and a refined lower body contour.

We proposed:

1. Remove the remaining fat to achieve a balanced result.

2. Perform liposuction on the upper arms and simultaneously address axillary breast and axilla.

3. Focus on the inner thighs and medial knees

4. Due to the anticipated high fat volume, perform liposuction in multiple sessions based on blood test results.

[Before and 3 Months After Surgery]

- Surgery areas: arms, abdomen, thighs

- Liposuction volume: 8,300 cc

The goal was to achieve a balanced physique by addressing the excessively retained fat in specific areas through revision liposuction. As seen in the photos, both the upper and lower body have become slimmer.

The patient experienced complications due to skin adhesions from the previous surgery, making smooth liposuction difficult. Consequently, the recovery period was expected to be longer than the average three months.
